Saturday, November 27, 2004 a miracle

i was starving and seriously ready to pass out. my face was numb, my vision was blurry, and my fingers were cold. i should have eaten before the show! stupid me! but the show had to go on.

i said a prayer and then mustered all of my strength to the focus and the delivery of my lines. i feared i would topple in front of everyone. i would fail the cast, i would fail the audience, and i would fail the show. after i finished the second scene and went back stage, i sat on my hands and my knees, head between them, trying to regain any consciousness left.

then, i looked to my left and found something incredible. there was a vial of glucose tablets with only one tablet left! it was a miracle! almost too crazy to be a coincidence. i debated whether to take it, because i felt that some diabetic owned that last tablet and might need it. but, my friend urged me to take it. so i did. feeling almost too sick to take the tablet down, i chewed and swallowed it. within minutes i started feeling better, as the glucose rushed to my blood stream. i finished the show with flying colors. thank God.
