Current mood: I just got back from watching the play "Rent." This was my first time seeing the musical and I thoroughly enjoyed the show. I mostly enjoyed the music and the choreography. The experience was unlike any other. This was the first time I also "rushed." I was really fortunate to be with five other people that I knew pretty well (it eventually turned into 7 people) and who have done this type of thing before. I set up my bedding the best corner on the ground ever. I loved the spot I chose. I never thought that I would actually be content sleeping outside on the ground before. We constantly got questioned by bums, crack heads and early downtown strollers because of the number of us sprawled out on the streets. There was a “Rent” crazed fellow who was overwhelmingly obsessed with the show. We had public restrooms to use-ok there were occasionally homeless people there, but we all could handle it. There was also an idiot airhead that we all wanted to kill. Plus, there were people who tried to sabotage other rushing kids by using up the last evening tickets; that was swiftly put under control. There was a load of munchies, pizza, liquor, "brownies," and the like. Therefore, everyone was able to reach a level of contentment. Ah yes, and lets not forget stoned bootycalls,(hi Todd) hahaha! It was definitely good to see some of my old friends again. (You folks know who you are, you wonderful bunch of insaniacs, you!) It was beautifully refreshing. I wouldn’t mind doing this again sometime in the future. I honestly feel that the rushing experience with close friends was more valuable to me then the 20 dollar tickets we went for. |
