Friday, November 05, 2004 Nightmare-One Winged Angel

Current mood:  scared

We were in our new house but in the dream it looked like a condo or a two story townhouse. Ian, my baby brother, lived with us. Outside his playschool bike was there. It was dark outside with dew already on the long grass. And there was also an obvious water pipe sticking out of the ground there too.

We, Jojo (my older brother) and I, were outside when we saw this bald Caucasian looking man, who looked mid-thirties with decent build; his skin was flaky and his lips were raw. He wasn’t ugly. He had one large fleshy, flaky pink wing on his left shoulder blade. It was almost as long as the stranger himself.

The skin reminded me of such on a Turkey's neck. On his right shoulder blade was a fleshy nub, where one wing seemed to have used to be. He had a white t-shirt and wore a black over shirt. He was wearing jeans and flip flops or maybe no shoes.

Jojo and I were outside when we saw him attempting to fly; and as soon as he lifted off, he came crashing down hard. Each crash seemed to knock him unconscious for a second. And then he would get up again and try to lift off. When he gave up, he went into our neighbor’s home and we could see him poke and prod. He didn’t really speak to us. He almost ignored us while we watched.

Later, Jojo and I were watching TV in my room as it is now. We saw on the news that various people in the surrounding area were being visited by this stranger.

A man with glasses and a bald head and a thick brown mustache was on. He basically said that everyone should allow the being to “inspect” their home. For it was a heavenly inspection. And you would be
blessed if you let the stranger roam and inspect your house.

As Jojo and I watched this…..we heard the crashing sound of the stranger attempting to fly in the backyard as we know it now. I could imagine the creature lift off for a second and immedietly crash into a short unconciousness.  He did this over and over in a creepy monotonous rhythm.

Jojo told me to be quiet. Ian wasn’t in the room, but somehow I knew he was safe and probably sleeping since Jojo and I were staying up late.

Fear pierced my chest. Jojo told me to hush and then continued to explain to me that the being was half god and that he was half asleep and half awake, as supposedly these half gods were. He told me to lay low. I feared that the being would show his face in my upstairs window so I avoided looking.

Suddenly, we heard the front door open and soon after, rummaging noises in the kitchen.
Jojo warned,"He’s in the house. Turn off the light."  I did.

I wished that we weren’t in the home during this "heavenly inspection," like our neighbor who wasn’t home for his.

Jojo recommended that I call dad. I searched for my cell phone. Jojo wanted me to warn dad not to come home or to stall him until this stranger was gone. Unfortunately I couldn’t find my phone and we
 had to skip it.

I continued to hear the being poke ‘n prod down stairs. My fear grew. I saw the green furry blanket (that I grew up with) and desperately wanted to go under it to hide….but I didn’t want to move, for fear that this half god would hear me. I was hoping that I could stay under the blanket and perhaps the stranger would ignore me as he did his work.

I heard the toilet flush downstairs. Then, I someone coming up the stairs adjacent to my bedroom. I closed my eyes in anticipation and fear. Then, as the visitor came up the stairs I open my eyes….at that moment I woke up.
